Homeschooling

Homeschooling was something I never dreamed I would do, but God had other plans. As my kids got closer to school age I felt this tug to teach them more and more. By the time my girls were 4 we were doing a kindergarten curriculum and it wasn't hard (even with a toddler in the house). So the next year when they should have been going to school we opted to try it for real- now here we are 4 years into it. I can't lie and say that it's been all easy... we've definitely had our hiccups! Despite hiccups I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love having my kids with me all the time, watching their face light up when it finally clicks, being there to teach them to read, learning with them, and teaching them life. All I can do when someone says they could never do it is to smile and say, "it's not for everyone". I don't believe God places the call on everyone to homeschool their kids, but I do believe alot of people are learning that with God they really can do anything!
